Huntington Beach:....The city of Huntington Beach holds a place in my heart a bit closer than most since it is my home town, and also where I currently live. There is but one customer that is serviced by the railroad as of 2006 but at one point the city was a source of rich heritage in the form of the Pacific Electric electric trolley car and the Southern Pacific. From this page you can take a tour of the current grade crossings in the city, view many photos of the Union Pacific's LOA32 local delivering lumber to Reliable Luber just south of Talbert Ave, or you can select the link to a few historical documents in PDF format that were kindly provided to me by fellow railfan Mike Kimura of Fountain Valley along with a short essay on the history of the ROW that once exsisted south of Ellis Ave. It was written by railfan and historian author Steve Donaldson.
